Our perfect summer weather is here and the Park is buzzing with activity. We are currently planning our 26thAnnual Benefit chaired by Foundation board members Jessica Brassler and Kate Singer, to be held on Saturday, September 30th on Marshall Field’s historic polo field at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve. We always plan to provide an extraordinary experience for guests and sponsors and this year will be no different. There will be lots of horses, champagne, a polo match, cocktails, contests, food, music and more!

 

You will have a special opportunity to pick from three viewing options for the match. You may watch the match from our picnic tables using a general admission ticket or become a sponsor and enjoy a more up close-up and personal view of the match with a front row tailgating reservation. Use your own décor and imagination to appoint your tailgate and take part in the optional tailgate decorating contest. Or you can relax from center field under our VIP tent where tables will be decorated by local professional interior designers to create a colorful and chicambience while you enjoy the afternoon’s festivities.  

 

This year we are honoring the Cunniff family and the memory of Marilyn Cunniff. The Cunniffs have been generous supporters of Caumsett, and over ten years ago started the Foundation’s endowment which allows us to maintain many of our capital projects within the Park.   

 

Funds raised from the benefit are earmarked for the many ongoing environmental, educational and building programs in the coming year. These projects include planting 50,000 daffodils bulbs around the Park, continuing our popular “Concert Fridays”, funding our new “Artist in Residence” program, combating erosion behind the Main House down to the pond, creating an Interpretive Center in the dairy barns and the continuing maintenance of our landscape program including the Walled Garden.
