26th Annual Caumsett Foundation Benefit Returns to Long Island’s North Shore
Summer on Long Island’s North Shore brings one of the most anticipated luxury community events of the year as Caumsett Foundation prepares for its 26th Annual Benefit at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve. Taking place on Saturday, September 30th, this signature North Shore fundraiser will once again transform the historic polo field on Marshall Field into an elegant destination for community celebration, philanthropy, and outdoor entertainment.
The event is chaired by Foundation board members Jessica Brassler and Kate Singer and attracts residents from Lloyd Harbor, Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington, Oyster Bay, and surrounding affluent Long Island communities. Known as one of the premier luxury outdoor events on the Gold Coast, the Caumsett Benefit blends charity, lifestyle, and community connection in a uniquely upscale setting.
A Signature North Shore Luxury Event Experience
Guests attending the Caumsett Benefit can expect a full day of curated experiences designed to highlight both the beauty of the park and the spirit of Long Island’s philanthropic community. The event will feature a live polo match, champagne service, cocktails, gourmet food, live music, and interactive sponsor activations throughout the day.
Attendees have the opportunity to choose from three elevated viewing experiences. General admission guests may enjoy the match from classic picnic seating throughout the grounds. Sponsors and tailgate participants can elevate their experience with front-row viewing and customized tailgating setups, complete with personal décor and participation in a tailgate decorating contest. For those seeking a more exclusive experience, the VIP center-field tent offers a luxury hospitality environment with professionally designed tables created by local interior designers, providing a sophisticated and social atmosphere overlooking the match.
Honoring Philanthropy and Community Legacy
This year’s benefit will honor the Cunniff family and celebrate the memory of Marilyn Cunniff, recognizing their longstanding commitment to preserving Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve. The Cunniffs were instrumental in establishing the Foundation’s endowment more than a decade ago, helping fund ongoing capital improvements and long-term park preservation efforts.
Proceeds from the event directly support environmental conservation, educational programming, and cultural initiatives throughout the park. These include the planting of 50,000 daffodil bulbs, the Concert Fridays music series, the Artist in Residence program, shoreline erosion mitigation behind the Main House, and continued restoration of historic structures such as the dairy barns and walled garden.
