The Townwide Fund of Huntington
One Community. One Donation. A World of Impact.
One Community. One Donation. A World of Impact.
Since 1961, the Townwide Fund (TWF) has served as a central point for local nonprofits, helping our community turn generosity into meaningful action. Over the past 60-plus years, we have distributed more than $15 million to local charities—supporting food, shelter, health services, and hope for our neighbors.
Our mission is simple but powerful: support the most pressing needs in Huntington. Today, we provide funding to nearly 30 local nonprofit organizations, focusing on health, housing, food insecurity, mental health, and other essential services. When you give to the Townwide Fund, you’re not just supporting one organization—you’re supporting many. Through careful review of grant requests, we ensure that every donation reaches the people and programs that need it most.
Meeting Needs Close to Home
The impact of TWF can be seen throughout the community. Our grants support local food pantries, help feed seniors and struggling families, and assist organizations that serve veterans. We also help low-income children attend summer camp—giving them a chance to learn, grow, and simply enjoy being kids.
Beyond funding, we help connect nonprofit organizations with one another, building partnerships that allow local groups to work smarter and serve more people.
Powered by Community
The Townwide Fund is powered by a small but dedicated team: an executive director, an assistant executive director, and an all-volunteer board of directors. Board members organize events, review grant applications, attend community gatherings, and make thoughtful decisions about where funds are most urgently needed.
They also help grow the circle—inviting friends, neighbors, and colleagues to participate in the Townwide Fund family.
A Year of Community and Celebration
While our mission is serious, our events are joyful. Throughout the year, TWF hosts beloved fundraisers including golf outings, tennis and pickleball tournaments, the Thanks4Giving Run, and family-friendly events like Photos with Santa.
One highlight of the spring season is just around the corner. On April 29, from 6:00–10:00 pm, we invite you to the Huntington Crescent Club for “Supper Club: An Evening of Music and Laughter.” It promises great food, live entertainment, and a chance to connect with neighbors while supporting vital work in our community.
One Donation, Many Lives
The needs in our town are real—and so is the generosity. With one thoughtful donation, you help strengthen nearly 30 organizations, support veterans and seniors, expand mental health services, and create opportunities for children.
Together, we can continue turning compassion into action—right here at home.
