From Anderson Township Roots to Outdoor Living Excellence
How hometown values shaped the vision behind All Decked Out 513
For Joe Hagen, Anderson Township isn’t just another place to work — it’s home.
Raised in the community from a young age, Joe grew up surrounded by the same neighborhoods,
ballfields, and backyard gatherings that still define the area today. His wife, Jessica, became part of the
Anderson community during elementary school after moving to Cincinnati and later graduated from
Turpin High School. Those shared local roots make working with Anderson Township homeowners
especially meaningful.
“There’s something different about building projects here,” Joe says. “You’re working in neighborhoods
you grew up driving through, for families living the same kind of life you remember. That creates a
responsibility to do things right.”
That mindset became the foundation of All Decked Out 513, the outdoor living design and build
company Joe founded, which has grown into one of the region’s most recognized names in premium,
low-maintenance outdoor living.
Building Something Better
When Joe launched the company, he set out to raise the standard for what outdoor spaces could be.
Early in his career, he noticed many homeowners were frustrated by traditional wood decks that
required constant upkeep and often deteriorated quickly in Ohio’s climate.
Rather than continuing down that path, he made a defining decision — All Decked Out would focus
exclusively on higher-quality, low-maintenance outdoor living environments.
Today, the company designs and builds custom outdoor spaces using advanced composite decking,
aluminum railing systems, and carefully selected materials engineered for long-term durability. The
team does not install wood decking or railings, choosing instead to specialize in solutions that allow
homeowners to spend more time enjoying their space and less time maintaining it.
“We want families using their outdoor space — hosting friends, relaxing, and making memories,” Joe
explains. “Not spending weekends sanding or staining.”
National Recognition, Local Values
While deeply rooted in Cincinnati, All Decked Out has earned recognition far beyond the region.
In 2019, the company received two first-place national awards through the North American Deck and
Railing Association (NADRA), honoring excellence in design and craftsmanship. The team has also
consistently ranked among Deckorators’ Top 10 deck builders in the country, earning Certified Elite
Installer status five of the past seven years.
Known throughout the industry for innovative building techniques and thoughtful construction practices,
the company has helped introduce methods now widely adopted across the trade.
“Our mission is simple,” Joe says. “We want to be the best construction company our clients have ever
hired. That comes down to craftsmanship, communication, and attention to detail — even the parts
homeowners never see.”
A Design-First Approach
Unlike traditional contractors, All Decked Out begins each project with a collaborative design process
focused on how families truly live at home. Joe personally leads much of the planning and design work,
helping homeowners visualize outdoor environments that feel like natural extensions of their homes.
Projects often include covered gathering spaces, patios, outdoor kitchens, integrated lighting, and
multi-level living areas designed for both everyday use and entertaining.
The company continually refines its process, aligning skilled installation teams, trusted trade partners,
and innovative materials to ensure consistency and quality on every project.
“We’re committed to growing better, not just bigger,” Joe says. “Every project is another opportunity to
improve.”
A Family Effort
Jessica plays an essential role supporting clients and operations throughout every stage of a project.
From guiding material selections to coordinating permits and managing behind-the-scenes logistics,
she helps ensure each project moves smoothly from the first meeting through the final walkthrough.
Having joined the Anderson Township community during elementary school and later graduating from
Turpin High School, she understands firsthand the strong neighborhood connections that make the
area special.
Together, the Hagens have built a company culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and
relationships — values shaped by their local upbringing.
“We believe our clients become our advertisement,” Joe says. “We earn our reputation one project at a
time.”
Coming Full Circle
For Joe and Jessica, working in Anderson Township often feels like coming home. Helping families
create spaces where holidays are celebrated, neighbors gather, and everyday moments happen
outdoors carries special meaning in the community that helped shape their lives.
“This area has always valued connection,” Joe says. “If we can create spaces where families spend
more time together, that’s the part of the job that matters most.”
