Finding the Best of Both Worlds
New to the neighborhood, Ragan McKinney Wuebold and her family have quickly found something special—a place where privacy meets connection, and life feels both full and meaningful.
For Ragan McKinney Wuebold, home has never been just about a location—it’s about creating a life that feels right. After just three months in the neighborhood, she and her family already know they’ve found exactly that.
“I chose this neighborhood because it gives me the best of both worlds,” Ragan shares. “It still feels rural—which is what I’m used to—with privacy and space… but I’m minutes from everything. The city, the airport, incredible restaurants, Pilates—everything I love is right here.”
Originally from Mount Orab, Ragan has always valued space, privacy, and a strong sense of community. When the opportunity to move came along, it wasn’t something they overthought—it simply felt right.
“We’ve always believed home is what you make it—not just where you’re at,” she says. “We’re open to opportunities, and when this one presented itself, it just clicked.”
What’s made the transition even more meaningful has been the people.
“The neighbors, the energy, the way it all feels… it’s hard to explain, but you know it when you find it,” she says.
That sense of familiarity is something Ragan didn’t expect so quickly—but it’s something she deeply appreciates.
“When I think about how this compares to the life I’ve always known, it actually feels more similar than different,” she explains. “I’ve always valued space and that sense of community—and we’ve found that here too.”
At home, the Wuebold family has already found their favorite place to unwind—their backyard.
“We love the view, the privacy, and our pool area,” Ragan says. “It’s where we spend a lot of time together.”
And together is exactly how they prefer to spend their time.
Ragan and her husband, Chris Wuebold, are raising a blended family filled with exciting milestones and busy schedules. Their children—Sophia, Mason, Lexi, and Bella—are each stepping into new and exciting chapters of life.
Sophia recently purchased her first home and is preparing for her wedding, while Mason is heading to flight school to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot. Lexi is working toward her real estate license, and Bella, a senior, is preparing for college this fall.
“A little about us—my husband builds custom homes, I’m a real estate broker, and together we’re raising our blended family and doing our best to soak up every season of it,” Ragan says. “Life is full, a little busy, and exactly how we like it.”
When they’re not working, you’ll most likely find them at Norris Lake, a place that holds some of their favorite family memories.
“In our spare time, we’re usually at the lake house, out on the boat, spending time together and enjoying the kind of moments you don’t rush through,” she says. “We love the simple things—family time, being on the water, and having our dogs right there with us.”
Their three dogs—Louise (8), Maggie (10), and Gunner (10)—are a big part of those moments, always included in family time and adventures.
Ragan and Chris’s story together is one that came full circle. The two actually went to high school together, lost touch, and went on to live separate lives before reconnecting years later through both their daughters and their work.
“He had reached out for help selling his new construction homes,” Ragan shares. “What started as a professional connection quickly turned into something more.”
They quickly realized how aligned they were.
“We’re both self-employed, both driven, and both have a strong work ethic,” she says. “We share a love for building, growing, and creating a life we’re proud of—but even more than that, we share a deep love for family.”
Giving back is also an important part of that life. Ragan currently serves on the board for Little Fork Advocacy Center and supports organizations like the Brown County Animal Shelter, Homeward Bound, and local schools.
“Being involved has always been important to us—whether that’s through time, resources, or simply showing up,” she says. “Now that we’ve made this move, we’re really looking forward to getting involved locally, building relationships, and finding meaningful ways to contribute here as well.”
As they settle into this new chapter, one thing is certain—the Wuebold family is exactly where they’re meant to be.
“We feel incredibly blessed and grateful for it all,” Ragan says. “And for the way God continues to guide our path.”
