Designing Connection at Clubhouse 540

Wright Interiors Founder Sarah Plitt Helps Shape a New Gathering Space in Naperville

When guests step inside Clubhouse 540, the first thing they notice isn’t just the cutting-edge golf simulators — it’s the atmosphere. The space feels welcoming, energetic, and intentionally designed for people to gather.

Comfortable lounge seating, layered lighting, and open sightlines invite guests to relax, play, and stay awhile. It’s a place where friends meet, conversations linger, and neighbors connect.

Behind that thoughtfully designed environment is Sarah Plitt, founder of Wright Interiors, whose approach blends beauty, function, and storytelling.

Sarah began her creative career in New York City working in visual merchandising for global brands such as J.Crew, Levi’s, Tiffany, Coach, and Macy’s. In that world, every display had to capture attention instantly and communicate a feeling before anyone said a word.

Those experiences shaped the design philosophy she carries into every project today.

Through Wright Interiors, Sarah now creates residential and commercial spaces throughout the Naperville area that feel both elevated and approachable — places where people naturally want to gather.

For Clubhouse 540, the goal was to create more than just a sports facility.

The vision was a modern neighborhood clubhouse — a place where golf, entertainment, and community could come together in one inviting environment.
Warm textures, intentional lighting, and carefully chosen furnishings balance the high-energy excitement of the simulator bays with comfortable spaces for conversation and connection.

“Great design should support the experience people are having inside the room,” Sarah explains. “When someone walks in, the space should immediately feel welcoming.”

That philosophy aligns closely with the vision of Clubhouse 540 owner Tom Schaefer, who created the venue as a place where sport and social life meet.

Today, the space has quickly become a local destination where neighbors gather for friendly competition, casual evenings out, and community events.
