Every February, I’m reminded that love isn’t just a feeling, but it’s a practice. Not the grand, cinematic kind, but the simple, steady ways we show up for the people around us. A quick check-in text. A conversation that runs longer than you planned. A neighbor helping with something small because they happened to notice you needed it. These everyday gestures often speak louder than big moments. They remind us that connection is something we build, almost quietly, in the middle of our normal routines.

As you read through this month’s issue of Stroll Forest Ridge, I hope you notice the same thing I do: the heart of Forest Ridge beats in the people who call it home. In the stories of neighbors supporting neighbors. In the friendships that form unexpectedly. In the pride we share for this place and the people who make it feel like more than a location. It’s a living, breathing network of love. 

I also want to take a moment to thank the community supporters who make this publication possible. Their support allows us to tell the stories of our neighborhood and highlight the faces and families who make Forest Ridge special. If you have the opportunity, I hope you’ll support them as well. Speaking of love, we’re excited to introduce a new monthly feature called Love of Country. In this section, we’ll share the stories of veterans, military personnel, and first responders, those among us who have served and protected our nation and community. Forest Ridge is home to many remarkable individuals with experiences worth celebrating. Who do you know that has a story to share? We’d love to hear from you and honor their dedication.

This month we celebrate all kinds of love, from romance and friendship to the simple kindness shared between neighbors.
