Building Excellence
The Jenkins Mechanical Journey

Like many young people, the founder of Jenkins Mechanical was still discovering his direction in his late teens. He explored various opportunities while figuring out his path, eventually realizing his calling was in hands-on, skilled work.
Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, he made his way to the Tulsa area a decade ago and chose to pursue a trade through night classes and apprenticeships. "I didn't want to settle for a desk job," he explains. "I knew I wouldn't thrive in a confined environment."
Recognizing an Opportunity
About a year into his HVAC career, he began noticing gaps in the industry. While working alongside various contractors, he realized there were opportunities to elevate service standards throughout northeast Oklahoma. Many companies focused on quick fixes rather than comprehensive solutions.
Rather than accept this, he saw potential to make a difference. He gained experience across every sector—residential to commercial refrigeration, heavy commercial, and industrial systems, developing a deeper understanding of what customers truly needed.
"I knew I could make a difference because the region didn't have the quality mechanical contractors it truly needed," he says. "I wanted to provide real solutions to real problems, instead of just replacing parts and hoping for the best."
What Sets Jenkins Mechanical Apart
The journey to starting Jenkins Mechanical included personal challenges—between 2019 and 2020, he lost his mother and twin brothers. These losses deepened his appreciation for family, hard work, and building something meaningful. Guided by his father's strong work ethic, he pressed forward with his vision.
Jenkins Mechanical operates on a principle that's become rare: quality over profit, every time. They use state-of-the-art technology and advanced diagnostic tools, focusing on extending system lifespan and preventing breakdowns. Results are delivered in clear, easy-to-understand PDF reports that help customers make informed decisions.
His straightforward advice to area residents: change air filters regularly and schedule system cleanings—the most important step for air quality and system lifespan. If your unit doesn't keep your home comfortable, don't go bigger; address the underlying issues first.
No discussion would be complete without mentioning Arya, the company's 2-year-old Blue Heeler office manager, whose vocabulary consists of "treat" and "outside" and who's terrified of cardboard boxes.
For him, Jenkins Mechanical is more than a business—it's a commitment to the community that welcomed him and the customers who trust him with their comfort. Every service call is an opportunity to demonstrate that northeast Oklahoma deserves exceptional HVAC care.
