From the Ground Up: A Family’s Journey to Building a Thriving Business
BA French Drains

When it comes to keeping your yard dry and your home protected, there’s nothing quite like a well-installed drainage system. For one local family, what started as hands-on labor in the trenches has grown into a thriving, family-operated business dedicated to serving their community.
Jeremy and Marinda have been married for 21 years and have built their life in the area, raising their three children—a 20-year-old daughter working as a pharmacy tech in Stillwater, a 14-year-old son who competes in shooting sports, and an 11-year-old daughter with a passion for shopping. Their family dynamic extends beyond the home and into the business, making entrepreneurship a core part of their daily lives.
Their journey into landscaping and drainage work began nearly a decade ago, starting from the ground up—literally. Jeremy worked the mowers while Marinda handled the books from home. Over time, they gained experience, learned the industry, and eventually stepped out on their own. In February 2023, they launched their own company, built on a foundation of hard work, dedication, and family values.
In the early days, it was just the two of them—Jeremy and Marinda, shovels in hand, working tirelessly to get the job done. Even their kids got involved, learning firsthand what it means to put in a hard day's work. As the business grew, so did their team, and today they proudly employ a couple of hardworking individuals who share their commitment to quality service.
One of the biggest reasons they started their own company was flexibility. Homeschooling their younger children is a priority, and running their own business allows them to balance work and family life seamlessly. Their children even participate in networking events, learning the ins and outs of entrepreneurship while building their own small ventures.
Beyond their business, Jeremy and Marinda are passionate about giving back. Their mission is driven by a desire to support local nonprofits, particularly those that serve veterans and children. They are dedicated supporters of Soldier’s Wish, Lisa Bain Ministries, and The Demand Project, always looking for ways to help those in need. For them, it’s not just about business—it’s about living out their faith, loving like Jesus, and making a meaningful impact in their community. They also cherish being part of Thomas Community Church, where Jeremy is honored to serve on the board.
What makes their business unique? It's simple—when you call, you get them. No runaround, no corporate layers, just a local family dedicated to solving your drainage issues. They know their work is essential, helping homeowners prevent costly water damage. Their advice? "Don’t ignore your drains! Just because you don’t see the problem doesn’t mean it’s not there. Book early, especially before the rainy season!”
As a family-owned and operated business, their mission is to provide reliable, high-quality service while setting an example of hard work and dedication for their children. They love the freedom their business provides—whether it’s taking vacations, homeschooling, or simply having the flexibility to be there for their kids.
Need help with drainage solutions? They’re just a call away—because when you support their business, you're supporting a hardworking local family dedicated to keeping your home safe and giving back to the community.
