Stand Up Remodeling and Construction
Tyren Turner admits he used to be the furthest you could get from being handy around the house. Ask him to hammer in a nail, put a new end table together for the living room, or remodel the bathroom in those days, and you never quite knew what you’d end up with.
Fast forward nearly a decade, and you could confuse him for someone who’s been doing complex remodeling work their entire life.
Turner is now the proud owner of Stand-Up Remodeling and Construction. Since 2018, the Denton native has become the remodeling expert of choice for anyone looking to make sense of their next residential bathroom, kitchen, or flooring project — from small painting jobs to gutting a kitchen and starting from scratch. Turner has proven he can do everything while promising an honest day’s work.
“I was in the manufacturing industry, working in a hot factory. A friend of mine worked for a construction company, and they were looking for people who didn’t know anything about the industry but were willing to learn,” Turner said. “I bounced around to different projects and learned a lot very quickly. I was never what you’d call a handy guy, but I got to work with people willing to give me the chance to show what I could do — and here I am. I pride myself on being a good character guy and doing the right thing.”
He added, “Wherever the job is, that’s where I’ll go. Nothing is too big or too small for what we do.”
When it comes to finally giving your home the upgrade it’s sorely needed after all these years, it’s essential to choose the right contractor for the job. Stand-Up Remodeling and Construction has proven to be the best time and again.
Want to tear everything out of your kitchen and start from scratch with custom cabinets, new lighting, countertops, and everything in between? Tyren and his crew can do it. Have you considered expanding your shower or upgrading to new tile floors? They can do that, too — with expert precision and quality craftsmanship that will last a lifetime.
What if all you need is patchwork in the bathroom or to hang a 70-inch flatscreen TV on the wall? They can do that, too.
Bottom line, Stand-Up Remodeling and Construction is the trusted contractor you’ve been looking for. Tyren’s growing list of happy customers ranges from residents (including those right here in Forrestridge) to local realtors and light commercial clients.
“Most of our work is referral-based, which shows we’ve been able to build a solid rapport with the community,” Turner said. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Alisha, and their five beautiful children. “I’m just excited to have the opportunity to show what we can do. I understand both sides of it — being a business owner and being someone who consumes, so I never try to get rich off one customer. I’m transparent in everything I do, and I’d like to think I am fair and honest.”
