Where/why did you get your pet? We adopted him in 2018 when he was just a little puppy. My husband took the kids out of town one weekend and I decided to surprise them with Riff Raff when they got home. They had wanted a dog for a long time. I did not… but I gave in and went and got him. I did it for them, but now Riff Raff is my little shadow and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

 

Is there a story behind its name? There isn’t a story, I just thought it was cute.

 

Anything special or unusual about them (talents/quirks)? Riff Raff has a big underbite. It’s so ridiculous it’s funny.

 

What do you like best about your pet? Riff Raff is really stubborn and I can relate to him on that level. I also just think it’s funny how stubborn he is. I like it when he moves in slow motion because we are trying to get him to do something he doesn’t want to do. LOL

 

Any funny stories?  Well I don’t know if the neighbors think it’s funny but I wanted to acknowledge that one of Riff Raff’s favorite things to do is stand by the fence and bark at the neighbor’s dogs. We have only lived here about 4 months. Our old backyard was different in that we only shared a fence with one person and they did not have dogs. In our new backyard, we share a fence with more neighbors and about 5 dogs I think… So if you hear someone yell “Riff Raff stop being Annoying” That’s me yelling. Haha! Riff Raff just can’t help himself.

 

How spoiled is your pet? He sleeps in the bed with us every night so I would say he is pretty spoiled. He also gets lots of treats and goes to Starbucks pretty often for pup cups.

 

What else should we know about your pet and/or how your pet has enriched your home/family?

Riff Raff is the first dog that I have ever had. My husband grew up with dogs but I did not. To be honest, I didn’t really like dogs before Riff Raff. I realize now that I just didn’t know how special they are until we got one. Riff Raff is now 1 of 6 pets. (2 dogs & 4 cats)
