The Reding Family
Denton has been part of our family’s story for a long time. Mark was born and raised here, and Reding Martial Arts will celebrate 30 years in Denton in October 2026. Kim’s children are also part of the Ramey family, which has deep roots in Denton. Their youngest daughter, Ramey, was named for the family and in honor of her GiGi, Iris, and Grandpa Marvin Ramey.
Kim and Mark previously lived in Denton before moving to Argyle, where they raised their blended family for 12 years. They recently returned to Denton and are excited to be closer to family, friends, church, and work.

Park/Play Area/Hangout:
Anywhere in the world or tucked inside a cozy music venue somewhere in it. When we’re home, you’ll usually find us relaxing at the house, visiting a local coffee shop, or spending time at Reding Martial Arts, which often feels like our second home.

Do you have any family traditions?
Our family Christmas cards are never traditional. Each year, we choose a theme, dress in costume, and create something fun—and usually a little over the top. We also spend the holidays playing games together, which can get fairly competitive.

How are you involved in the community?
Our family has always enjoyed supporting local schools, churches, and community organizations. Mark provides self-defense programs throughout the Denton community and at local churches. He has been teaching the "WatchDog Group" for Denton Bible Church for over 8 years now. Through RMA, he also helps students of all ages develop confidence, discipline, and respect.

Before moving, our family volunteered with First United Methodist Church’s ministry serving people experiencing homelessness and was previously a member of the Denton Benefit League. Kim also ran the Children's Section in the DFW brain tumor walk before helping bring a 5k to Denton. Kim and her friends created a brain tumor awareness walk and fun run held at Eureka Park called Live a Legacy 5k - Memento Mori.
While living in Argyle, Kim and the children volunteered through Young Men’s Service League, National Charity League, local schools, and other community activities. She remains involved with Women of Argyle while looking for new ways to reconnect and serve in Denton. She also loves learning Mahjong with her Denton Mahjong group she's a part of.
If you have kids, what activities are they involved with?
Our four children are now young adults. Their lives are filled with college, careers, church, friends, and spending time with family whenever everyone’s schedules allow.

What is your favorite part about living in your neighborhood?
We love Forrestridge’s established character and trees! We wave more to people driving through this neighborhood than we did living in a community of 4,000 homes. Our friends, clients, and some old neighbors from before live in Forrestridge. We also have family nearby in Forrestridge, Montecito, Southridge, and Sundown Ranch, so returning to Denton has brought us closer to many of the people and places we love! It's exciting!

Kim’s personal and professional motto is “You Belong Here,” but it’s more than a real estate tagline. It’s something our family genuinely believes. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our story and look forward to supporting our neighbors and the Denton community for many years to come.
