· Pets: Archie (Golden Retriever, 5 years), Winnie (Golden Retriever, 5 months), and cats Max and Jasper, both adopted from the Linda McNatt Animal Shelter.

· Professions: Chris: Software Consultant at Quisitive, Jill: Attorney at Minor & Jester, P.C.

· Activities/Hobbies: When the weather permits, we’re in the pool daily, swimming and playing fetch with Archie and Winnie, who are deliriously happy in the water. Walking the dogs around the neighborhood is a daily ritual. Chris enjoys photography and cooking.

· Park/Play Area/Hang Out: South Lakes Park is our go-to for walks with Archie and Winnie.

· Restaurants: There are so many in Denton we love: Queenies, Hannah’s, Osteria il Muro, Andaman, and Beth Maries. Jupiter House is a must for coffee.

· Vacation Destinations: Colorado is a special place for us and is a frequent destination, often with Jill’s mother, Barbara Ball of the Southmont neighborhood. Two years ago we checked a major bucket-list item: a Rhine River cruise through the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland with dear friends from the neighborhood.

· Sports Teams: Jill was born and raised in Denton cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and that tradition carries on for both of us. We're also proud Dallas Mavericks fans.

· TV Show/Movie: The Great British Bakeoff is a perennial favorite. Lately we've loved Shōgun, and as proud Gen Xers, we've thoroughly enjoyed the Star Wars spinoffs—Andor and The Mandalorian especially. All-time favorites: Band of Brothers and Schitt's Creek.

· Movies: Jill’s all-time favorite is Pride and Prejudice (any version!). Chris might pick Ronin, Blade Runner or Mulholland Drive as favorites.

· Music: We both have eclectic tastes - jazz, yacht rock, R&B, and pop, depending on the mood.

· Family Dinner: Sunday nights are sacred—Chris loves cooking, and grilling during the summer. Jill’s mother, Barbara Ball, lives just a mile away in Southmont and joins for dinner each Sunday.

· Family Traditions: Sunday family dinners are a must. We love decorating for every holiday and try to make meals at home special - sitting down together, lighting candles, and playing music. We feel so lucky to live here and want to treasure every moment.

· College/University:

o Chris earned his B.S. (Psychology & Spanish) from the University of Illinois, his M.S. in Counseling from Indiana University, and completed coursework for a Ph.D. at UT-Austin before finding his calling in software development.

o Jill earned her B.A. (History & Political Science) from University of Oklahoma, pursued post-graduate theater studies at UT-Austin, and received her law degree from South Texas College of Law-Houston.

· Where are you originally from:

o Chris grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago. Jill is a true Denton native – born right here at Flow Hospital.

· How long have you lived in this neighborhood?

o Jill grew up in Southridge, and after returning to live in that neighborhood for 15 years, she and Chris made their move to the Forrestridge area in August 2025.

· What do you like to do to relax?

o We both love catching up with friends and family. Chris reaches for a good book; Jill settles in with popcorn and a favorite movie.

· Involved in the community?

o Jill is deeply passionate about community involvement and stays busy serving on the Denton City Council and as Vice-Chair of the North Texas Council of Governments’ Regional Transportation Council. She is also an active member of Denton Benefit League, Women’s Federation of Clubs (Ariel Club), and the Denton Bar Association and serves as a member of the Advisory Board for UT’s LBJ School of Public Policy’s Women’s Campaign School. Chris channels his energy into staying up-to-date in the tech industry, cooking, reading, and home projects, and together they make a great team.

· Favorite part about living in the neighborhood.

o We love the trees, the wide streets perfect for walking and the unique homes. But best of all, this neighborhood looks out for one another and still waves hello.
