This festive Halloween twist on classic buffalo chicken dip is creamy, spicy, and perfect for a party. Topped with mozzarella cheese ghosts, it is simple to prepare and makes a fun appetizer served warm with chips, bread, crackers, or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, shredded
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1–2 cups buffalo sauce (adjust to taste)
- ¼ cup ranch dressing
- ½ lb mozzarella cheese slices
- Black decorating/writing gel
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Combine shredded chicken and buffalo sauce in a large bag or bowl, mixing until the chicken is thoroughly coated.
3. Spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
4. Spread the buffalo chicken evenly over the cream cheese.
5. Drizzle the ranch dressing over the chicken and spread it evenly without mixing it in.
6. Use a small ghost-shaped cookie cutter to cut ghost shapes from the mozzarella slices. Arrange the cheese ghosts over the chicken, leaving space between them.
7. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the dip is heated through.
8. Use black decorating gel to add eyes and mouths to the cheese ghosts.
9. Serve warm with chips, bread, crackers, or vegetables.
