Serving as captain of the football team and distinguishing himself in track and wrestling, Chance's narrative is one of unwavering commitment and modest beginnings.
A Triple Threat in Sports
Chance's athletic journey spans across football, track, and wrestling β a testament to his versatility and commitment. In football, he dominates the line, drawing inspiration from his father and NFL icon JJ Watt. His track and field endeavors have him throwing shotput and discus, while in wrestling, he competes as a heavyweight, showcasing his strength and strategy. Under his leadership, the football team celebrated an undefeated district season, and the wrestling team saw 13 athletes advance to regionals.
From Passion to Purpose
Beginning his football journey in the sixth grade, Chance was inspired by the NFL greats and his father's high school legacy. His aspiration? To embody the strength, dedication, and character of his role model, JJ Watt. This drive culminated in a milestone moment for Chance: receiving his first D-1 offer, a step closer to fulfilling his dream of playing collegiate football.

Juggling an intensive academic schedule with sports, Chance maintains a rigorous daily routine from dawn till dusk. His commitment extends beyond the field, achieving high ranks in his class while taking four AP courses. Yet, it's the values of leadership and teamwork instilled through sports that Chance cherishes most, applying these lessons to every aspect of his life.

Acknowledging the influential role of his coaches, Chance credits D line coach DJ for enhancing his technique and Strength Coach Mullis for his physical development. Their guidance has been instrumental in shaping Chance's athletic and personal growth. This is why itβs important for Chance to also be a mentor to younger athletes like freshman Ryland Forks who also holds a leadership position as captain of Fulshear's football team.
