The Brass Tap

Craft Beer Bar

Chris, having lived in Cinco Ranch since 2005, has deep roots in the area. His three adult children, Schuyler, Katie, and Christian, all graduated from Seven Lakes High School, indicating a long-standing connection to the local Katy school district. Kuralay relocated from The Woodlands to Cinco Ranch with her daughter Maya who graduated from Cinco Ranch High School, further integrating the family into the community. These two made a perfect match with an online connection on the dating site, EHarmony and were married in 2014.
Chris has an impressive background that includes graduating with a bachelor's degree from A&M University to receiving a master’s degree from the University of Southern California (USC) that led him into a career as a Petro Physicist in Houston's oil and gas industry. Chris is a self proclaimed introvert but will easily open up with doting smiles when he speaks about Kuralay, and the impact she's made on his life. Kuralay has been described as the face and personality of Brass Tap due to her outgoing and nurturing demeanor. One conversation with her makes you feel like you're talking to an old friend. So it's no surprise that her previous career was spent as a Director of Nursing, Home Healthcare. Chris's career as a Petro Physicist, coupled with Kuralay's background in Nursing, showcases their versatility. The decision to transition from these careers to owning a craft beer-focused establishment like Brass Tap during the challenges of the COVID-19 shutdown is both courageous and inspiring.
Chris's dedication to thorough research, including visiting franchises and studying entrepreneurial resources, highlights the commitment to making an informed decision. The selection of Brass Tap, with its craft beer concept, low-risk capital investment, and community-oriented approach, seems to align perfectly with their vision. Choosing the perfect location for their business indicates a strategic understanding of the community's needs and growth potential. This amazing establishment is a perfect place to host any party, big or small because the outdoor patio is unlike no other with its spacious seating and breathtaking view of the Fulshear sunset. If you're tired of the hassle of trying to find a place to hangout with friends, families and co-workers to watch your favorite team or big fight, look no further than your local Brass Tap. The location is conveniently nestled in a brand new center with other amazing businesses waiting for you. In today's world, where conversations have been replaced with texting, games replaced with social media, and dinners out replaced with fast food drive throughs....we are excited to have the good old days back every time we walk into The Brass Tap.
Their shared love for dancing, discovered during wedding dance lessons, sparked their love for their favorite pastime, and hobby. Sparking the decision to take dance lessons at the Fred Astaire dance studio. The joy they experience while dancing, making new friends and socializing is the reason they emphasize cultivating and creating a space where people begin to connect and appreciate the atmosphere at Brass Tap.
Overall, the story of Chris and Kuralay, their journey to Brass Tap ownership, and the values they bring to their establishment make for a compelling and inspiring narrative. It's clear that they have created more than just a business; they've built a place for people to reconnect and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
