The ENCORE - Gates Mills Music & Ideas Festival presented by ENCORE Chamber Music Institute is an annual opportunity for Northeast Ohio music fans of all ages to experience classical music innovation. The festival coincides with ENCORE’s Summer Academy Program which brings the most promising future leaders of classical music to Cleveland and Gates Mills.
This year's theme, By Leaps and Bounds, will launch the organization into the next decade with a celebration of innovative classical music inspired by movement and dance. The public performance program also includes interdisciplinary “ideas” talks from cultural thinkers based on the festival theme.
From June 2 - 22, ENCORE’s renowned artist-teachers and students from around the world will perform for audiences at notable Northeast Ohio venues including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Maltz Performing Arts Center, and Warner Concert Hall at Oberlin College and Conservatory. The festival includes seven ticketed festival performances at noted Cleveland venues. See below for a schedule overview and purchase tickets and season passes here.

ENCORE Institute’s Mission

ENCORE Chamber Music Institute is a 501c3 organization founded in 2015 by
Cleveland-grown, globe-trotting violin soloist Jinjoo Cho who regularly performs in the world’s most distinguished concert halls and festivals such as Carnegie Hall, Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires, and Herkulessaal of Munich. Bringing some of the biggest artists of the world back home with her, the ENCORE – Gates Mills Music & Ideas Festival is a gathering place for inspired Northeast Ohioans to participate in diverse cultural conversations through the lens of music.
