- Mayfield School District has yet again earned a 5 star rating on its 2024-25 Ohio State Report Card, the highest distinction provided. Gates Mills Elementary School also earned a 5 star rating. Congrats to our students, teachers, and staff on all of their hard work!
- Mayfield has been accepted into the League of Innovative Schools for its leadership, innovative vision, and commitment to excellence. The League is a national network of school districts organized by Digital Promise, intended to bring together the nation’s most innovative education leaders to share best practices, collaborate on research, and expand opportunities for students by piloting innovative learning practices.
- Congratulations are in order to multiple Mayfield Middle School students! Gary Yan was named a winner of the Venue Music Awards International Competition and got the chance to show his talent at the Winner’s Recital at Harvard University! Hisham Shaik was chosen as the first place winner for the National Garden Club Poetry Contest earlier this year, and Camilla DiFranco, currently ranked 5th in the nation, won the MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run competition at the Cleveland Guardians, and will have a chance to compete at the World Series!
- At the end of September, Mayfield City Schools hosted the Big Ideas Showcase, welcoming educators from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Missouri to learn more about Mayfield’s innovative learning opportunities like The Option, Learn and Earn, and Cross Curricular classes. Visiting educators were able to conduct site visits at Mayfield’s Learn and Earn partners Swagelok and Brookes & Henderson, in addition to touring Mayfield’s campus and having a lunch and learn session about curriculuum design, interdisciplinary instruction, and student-business partnerhips.
