The August 5th Moser Farms Summer Social was one to remember, and one of the most memorable moments was the birth of baby Elizabeth the donkey. Farmer Steve provided a little update on the neighborhood's favorite foal:

"My darling Clare gave birth to her firstborn Tuesday evening. Baby Elizabeth arrived in an unconventional fashion as we were attending our second event of the day with an audience at an urban neighborhood party. I’d been making sure to travel with Clare as I knew she was nearing full term (I thought we had another 48 hours).

What a treat for our guests to observe the arrival of Elizabeth and for human mothers (proving that motherhood is universal) to jump in and help with the baby. Before we left, baby Elizabeth was dry, groomed, and had nursed. Clare is a doting mother, and I’m in love with another baby. Her name is Elizabeth, and she is very friendly, charming, and has been a hit with our customers."
