For Jason and Jill Blair, family has always been at the center of everything they do. Whether they're enjoying a competitive go-kart race on vacation, gathering around the table for a home-cooked meal, or cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, the Blair family embraces every opportunity to make memories together.

Residents of Glenmary for the past 16 years, the Blairs have deep roots in the Louisville area. Jill is a lifelong Louisville resident, while Jason originally moved from Nashville when his father’s church relocated to Louisville. In fact, it was through church that the couple’s own story began.

Jason and Jill met at the church where Jason’s father served as minister. Jill’s grandmother was especially eager to introduce the two and took matters into her own hands by encouraging the meeting. The connection was immediate. Their relationship moved quickly, with a first date in March, an engagement in July, and a wedding in December of the same year. This coming December, they will celebrate 21 years of marriage.

Together, they have built a close-knit family with their two children, Addy and Brady.

Addy, 18, is preparing to begin her second year at Bellarmine University, where she is pursuing a nursing degree. Dedicated to both academics and service, she is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society and participates in the college-age ministry at Southeast Christian Church. When she finds free time, she enjoys getting lost in a good book.

Brady, 14, will be entering high school this August. Like many teenagers, he enjoys video games, but he also loves spending time outdoors fishing and staying active on the basketball court.

The family’s household wouldn't be complete without their two rescue dogs. Leia, a nine-year-old dachshund and Labrador mix, was adopted from the Kentucky Humane Society. When they first met her, she was shy and frightened, hiding in the back of her kennel. Once she found her forever home with the Blairs, however, her personality blossomed.

Cash, a two-year-old pit bull mix, joined the family through Mispits and Friends. He enjoys soaking up the sunshine and chewing on his favorite bones, bringing plenty of energy and affection to the household.

Both Jason and Jill have built successful careers while balancing family life. Jason works at Ford Motor Company's Kentucky Truck Plant. Jill works in compliance for Optum and also serves as a Community, Talent, and Employer Coordinator for Incipio Workforce Solutions.

Education has always been important to both of them. Jill graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing. Jason earned a Bachelor of Science from Kentucky Wesleyan College before later completing his Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management through the University of Phoenix.

When they are not working or keeping up with their children's activities, the family enjoys spending quality time together. Pickleball, card games, lake trips, and binge-watching favorite television shows are all popular family pastimes. One of their favorite programs is The Chosen, and when sports season rolls around, you'll find them cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Like many families, some of their favorite memories have been made while traveling. Their preferred destination is Fort Morgan, Alabama, where they enjoy relaxing on the beach, swimming in the pool, racing go-karts, and playing mini golf.

One vacation memory stands out above the rest. During a go-kart race on a slick track, Jason became a little too competitive while attempting to pass another racer. The result was a dramatic spin-out that looked, according to the family, as though he had hit a banana peel in a Mario Kart game. While Jason recovered quickly and continued the race, the incident provided plenty of laughs and remains a favorite family story.

Closer to home, some of the Blair family's most cherished moments have taken place right in Glenmary. One memory they treasure is the lemonade stand Addy and Brady operated during a neighborhood yard sale when they were younger. The stand was a big success and created lasting memories for the entire family.

The Blairs also fondly remember spending time at the neighborhood pool before it closed, creating friendships and enjoying countless summer days together.

Whether they are gathered around a family dinner of steak, potatoes, and green beans, heading to Texas Roadhouse for a meal out, or simply spending time together at home, the Blair family values the relationships and experiences that make life meaningful. Their story is a reminder that community is built through shared experiences, lasting friendships, and the memories made along the way—something the Blair family has been doing beautifully in Glenmary for the past 16 years.
