It’s that time of year again when the air is crisp, the trees are full of vibrant color and every front porch is sporting a pumpkin. Everyone is glued to the Saturday and Sunday “pigskin” games. And let’s not forget the elaborate tailgate parties! Speaking of tailgate parties… You’ll be a hit with these “Festive Fall Fusions”.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the start of the autumn season.
Mix, Relax, Enjoy!
Apple Cider Margaritas
2 cups Apple Cider
½ cup Silver Tequila
¼ cup Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp. Sugar/ 1 tsp. Cinnamon for rimming glass
Apple Slices for garnish
Cinnamon Stick for garnish
Combine cider, tequila, lemon juice. Chill for 24 hours.
Rim glass with combination of sugar and cinnamon.
Fill glass with ice.
Pour cider mixture over ice and garnish with a spear of apple slices.
Spicy Bourbon Pumpkin Smash
Spiced Pumpkin Syrup Recipe:
½ cup Maple Syrup
1/3 cup Water
1/3 cup Pumpkin Puree
½ tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Sea Salt
Combine all ingredients and cook to a boil.
Refrigerate until needed.
1 ½ oz Spiced Pumpkin Syrup
2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Orange Juice
2 dashes Orange Bitters
1 ½ oz Ginger Beer for topping
Orange Twist for garnish
Combine in a shaker glass all ingredients except the ginger beer.
Shake vigorously with ice.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and top with ginger beer.
Garnish with an orange twist.
Touchdown Tea Mocktail
3 Black Tea Bags
¼ cup Pure Maple Syrup
1 Medium Red Apple (thinly sliced and soaked in ¼ cup lemon juice)
2 cups Apple Cider
In a pitcher, steep tea bags in 3 cups of hot water.
Add maple syrup and apple cider. Refrigerate 4 hours.
Soak the apple slices in lemon juice.
Pour the contents into iced beverage glasses.
Add the apple slices atop the mocktail for garnish.
