Gobble Gobble, Hallsley! The Turkey Trot Delivers—Again
Gobble gobble, y’all! Thanksgiving came early in Hallsley as runners, walkers, families, and cheer squads showed up in full force for the 11th Annual Hallsley Turkey Trot—and absolutely cran-slammed it. From speedy strides to joyful jogs, participants earned every bite of their pumpkin pie, no ifs, ands, or butterballs about it.
This beloved community tradition is about far more than finish times. Each participant helped raise 80 meals for local families in need, directly supporting the mission of the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center. That’s neighbors helping neighbors, one mile (or two!) at a time—and something our entire community can be truly thankful for. A special thank-you goes to Kelly Kaze, representing the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center, for her dedication, partnership, and the vital work she does year-round to fight hunger in our community.
The course was packed with energy, encouragement, and plenty of holiday spirit as runners of all ages took part. In the Adult Division (15 and up), the podium finishers were:
- 1st Place: Nicole Shaver – 16:34
- 2nd Place: Grady Castiglia – 17:30
- 3rd Place: Garrett Lewis – 18:32
Our younger runners showed impressive grit in the Kids Division (13 and under):
- 1st Place: Rehaan Arvin – 17:41
- 2nd Place: J. Crabtree – 19:54
- 3rd Place: Caytom Cooper – 21:24
A heartfelt THANKS-giving shoutout goes to the incredible sponsors who stuffed this event with so much heart: Jason Claybrook – State Farm Insurance, Huguenot Rotary Club, Stroll Hallsley, Perkinson Homes, Kitto Plastic Surgery, One Environmental Group, Airrosti Physical Therapy, Midlo Limo, Physicians to Women, and a special thank-you to the Claybrook Family for their continued dedication and support. This trot wouldn’t be possible without them.
Year after year, the Hallsley Turkey Trot proves that when a community comes together, big things happen. Here’s to 11 years of miles, meals, and meaningful impact—and many more to come.
