Crafting Art Beneath Your Feet with Resin Vibes

Who says artwork can't be walked on?

In the world of home improvement and interior design, few names on Cape Cod are making waves quite like Wellsley Pina. At just 26 years old, this East Harwich native has turned his passion for art into a thriving epoxy flooring business that’s as much about creativity as it is about craftsmanship.
Cape Roots and Creative Beginnings
Born on January 1, 1999, Wellsley Pina is a true New Year’s baby with a fresh perspective on both art and entrepreneurship. A proud Cape Verdean and Portuguese Cape Codder, Pina was raised in East Harwich and graduated from Monomoy Regional High School in 2017, where he spent seven years on the football field playing multiple positions including quarterback, running back, and cornerback.
Off the field, his artistic side flourished. “My biggest hobbies are painting, photography, hiking, and traveling,” he shares. “I’ve always been interested in the arts and creating things—whether it be a painting, writing music, or doing photography.”
The Birth of a Business
Pina’s journey into the epoxy world began about five years ago, but it was two years ago that he officially launched his own company. Combining his creative instincts with hands-on skills, he discovered that epoxy coatings were the perfect medium—literally and figuratively—to bring customer visions to life while expressing his own creativity.
“I wanted to build something my kids could benefit from,” he explains. “To try and create generational wealth doing something I truly enjoy.”
More Than Just Flooring
Specializing in metallic epoxy floors and countertops, Pina’s business stands out with its ability to turn everyday surfaces into one-of-a-kind works of art. “Each floor is a one-of-one art piece,” he says. “You choose the colors, and we do the rest. No two floors are the same.”
These luxurious, custom-designed surfaces mimic the look of natural stone at a fraction of the cost—without sacrificing durability or style. “We bring a unique touch to the game with our captivating designs and techniques,” he adds.
Community Roots, Regional Reach
Despite his artistic flair and modern techniques, Pina remains deeply connected to his roots. His company regularly supports local businesses and participates in events like Art in the Park Chatham and the Cranberry Harvest Festival, and contributes to local food banks around the holidays.
Looking ahead, he hopes to further strengthen community ties by hosting events and continuing to support the local economy.
Overcoming Challenges, Embracing Innovation
As with any business, the early days came with hurdles. “When people think of epoxy floors, they usually think of flake floors,” he says. Educating clients about the modern, metallic styles he specializes in has been a journey—but one that’s paid off. “Once people see what’s possible, they’re excited to transform their spaces—and their lifestyles.”
Vision for the Future
With projects spanning beyond the Cape and across New England, Pina’s goals are bold but clear. “My vision is to become one of the leading epoxy flooring companies in the region. We’re willing to travel and take on projects from state to state. We want to take over the metallic epoxy flooring market—one floor at a time.”
The Artist Behind the Business
At his core, Pina is still an artist. When he’s not installing dazzling floors, he’s creating abstract pours and textured art pieces in his studio. “Painting is what got me into epoxy,” he says. “I saw a picture online of what looked like one of my paintings—but on a floor—and I was hooked.”
From canvas to concrete, Wellsley Pina is turning his passion into lasting impact—both for his clients and for the community he calls home.
