There may have been plenty of sunshine and soaring temperatures, but that didn't stop Hidden Lake neighbors from coming together for an unforgettable evening celebrating the start of summer! Hosted and organized by STROLL Hidden Lake, this year's School's Out Pizza Party welcomed families to a new location that quickly became a neighborhood favorite. Many attendees shared how much they loved having the perfect combination of outdoor activities and a cool, comfortable indoor space to gather over complimentary wood-fired pizza and ice cream.

Outside, there was no shortage of excitement. One of the evening's biggest attractions was the horse experience with Tom Sworm Stable. Children delighted in horse rides while also learning the basics of horsemanship from Tom himself. He patiently taught them how to communicate with Spot, properly hold the lead rope, and confidently guide their equine companion, giving many children their very first taste of connecting with this gentle animal. Families also enjoyed colorful face painting, enchanting hair braiding by Venus Luminique's Fairy Hair Magic, and custom slime creations from The Event Cart, where children even selected their own colors, mix-ins, and signature scents. A strolling magician delighted guests throughout the evening, while classic lawn games—including Giant Jenga, Giant Tetris, Giant Guess Who, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and temporary tattoos—kept smiles on faces from start to finish.

One of the biggest stars of the evening wasn't on the schedule at all! Bubbles, the lovable mascot from The Learning Experience of South Lyon, was a huge hit with the kids, handing out high-fives, sharing countless hugs, and posing for photos throughout the night. In fact, our own little Sophia was so smitten we joked that we almost had to file a restraining order just to convince her to let Bubbles visit the rest of the neighborhood children!

Inside, neighbors escaped the heat while enjoying delicious complimentary wood-fired pizza made by Rolling Stone Wood Fired Pizza and Guernsey ice cream, giving families an opportunity to relax, reconnect, and catch up with one another. Moments like these are exactly what STROLL is all about—creating meaningful opportunities for neighbors to spend time together and strengthen the connections that make Hidden Lake such a special place to call home.
