A Home That Became Part of the Story

We wish Ganesh and Rekha Shenoy an exciting journey ahead!

For nearly two decades, this Hidden Lake home at 10751 Stoney Point Drive has been far more than just a beautiful waterfront property for Ganesh and Rekha Shenoy. It has been the backdrop to family dinners overlooking the lake, summer volleyball games in the backyard, quiet mornings watching the sunrise over the water, and evenings filled with music drifting across the amphitheater from neighborhood concerts.

When the Shenoys built their custom home with Accu Homes in 2005, they weren’t simply designing a house. They were creating a lifestyle centered around connection, wellness, entertaining, and making the most of life on the lake.

And now, after years of memories in Hidden Lake, they are preparing for their next chapter in Vero Beach, Florida, where they plan to build a new home inspired by the warmth and coastal lifestyle they’ve come to love.

What they leave behind is a home filled with years of memories, laughter, friendships, and countless moments overlooking the lake.

Spanning more than 6,661 square feet along over 100 feet of prime main-lake frontage, the home sits on one of Hidden Lake’s most beautiful stretches of shoreline, where panoramic views of the lake, marina, and amphitheater became part of everyday life. From the moment you walk inside, the water draws your attention. Expansive picture windows frame the lake from nearly every angle, while the soaring two-story great room fills with natural light throughout the day.

The Shenoys especially loved the home’s east-facing backyard, where sunrise views over the water became part of their morning routine and evenings outdoors stayed cool and comfortable throughout the summer months.

The home was intentionally designed to bring people together.

The open-concept layout allowed family and friends to gather effortlessly between the chef’s kitchen, lakeside sitting room, great room, and outdoor living spaces. Whether hosting neighbors or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, the spaces always felt warm, inviting, and connected to the beauty outside.

One of their favorite spaces became the main-floor primary suite, where peaceful lake views greeted them each morning. Over time, they thoughtfully personalized nearly every aspect of the home, including the addition of an indoor wellness swim spa that became especially meaningful during Michigan winters. Designed for year-round fitness, recovery, and relaxation, it quickly became one of the family’s favorite retreats within the home.

Outside, the property evolved into a true extension of the lifestyle they loved most about Hidden Lake.

The backyard became a gathering place over the years, from volleyball games with family and friends to evenings spent around the expansive fire pit overlooking the water. Multiple patios, an outdoor kitchen, private dock, beach area, and lakeside entertaining spaces created countless opportunities to slow down, connect, and simply enjoy being together.

Throughout the years, the Shenoys continuously invested into the home with thoughtful updates and improvements, including a new roof, updated HVAC systems, newer windows, heated garage floors with epoxy coating, and a whole-house Generac generator, ensuring it was cared for as intentionally as it was lived in.

Yet while the home itself is extraordinary, the family says Hidden Lake is what truly made their time here unforgettable.

“What started as neighbors quickly became family,” they shared.

They loved the active lifestyle Hidden Lake offers, from walking trails and lake days to Friday night concerts, community events, and spontaneous gatherings with neighbors and friends. Some of their favorite memories came from listening to amphitheater concerts from their own deck or bedroom while overlooking the lake.

“There’s something special about living here. It feels like being on vacation every single day.”
- Ganesh Shenoy

For the Shenoys, this home represented far more than a place to live. It became a place where friendships deepened, traditions formed, and life unfolded against the backdrop of the lake they came to love so deeply.

As they begin their next season along Florida’s coast, they leave behind not just an extraordinary home, but years of memories woven into the fabric of Hidden Lake.
