Murphy and Bailey: Paws, Play, and Plenty of Love!

Murphy
Meet Murphy and Bailey, two lovable rescues who have found their forever home with the Vandemark family: Andrew, Jen, Cole, Nicholas, and Harper. These furry companions bring joy, laughter, and plenty of snuggles to their household.
Murphy, affectionately called Murph Man, is a 17-pound Miniature Pinscher with a sleek red coat and captivating brown eyes. Bailey, or Bailey Boo, is an Australian Cattle Dog mix with a striking coat of white, black, and tan spotted fur and adorably floppy ears. At just three years old, these pups are full of energy and affection, lighting up every corner of the Vandemark home.
Murphy joined the family through Freedom Tails of Ohio, while Bailey found her forever home thanks to Cabin Critters of Southern Ohio. Both rescues embody the spirit of second chances and have thrived in a home filled with love and care.
Murphy has a knack for snuggling, often burrowing under the covers to be as close to his family as possible. He’s a curious observer, spending hours perched by the window, watching birds flit about and deer wander the yard. On the other hand, Bailey is the more playful of the two, always up for a good wrestle with Murphy or a walk around the neighborhood. She especially loves the attention and affection she receives from her dad, Andrew, who shares a special bond with her.
Their neighborhood adventures often include visits with their best friend, Clyde, a big Labrador from Forrest Highlands. Whether it’s walks or playdates, Murphy and Bailey cherish their time with Clyde, proving that friendships know no bounds—even in the dog world.
Murphy and Bailey have unique preferences when it comes to treats. Bananas and ice cubes are their absolute favorites, though they never pass up bonus snacks courtesy of the kids’ spills. Beyond their love for treats, both dogs enjoy fetching balls indoors, keeping the family entertained with their playful antics.
Life with Murphy and Bailey is also full of funny moments. Murphy, for instance, has a hilariously endearing fear of his own shadow. On walks, a sudden gust of wind blowing a leaf can send him leaping into the air with all four paws. Bailey, with her playful energy and floppy-eared expressions, brings her charm.
What the Vandemarks love most about Murphy and Bailey is the opportunity to provide them with a safe, loving home. Their loyalty and affection are unmatched, as they relish every moment spent lounging on the couch or snuggling close. While their enthusiastic barking might be a bit much at times, the family wouldn’t trade it—or them—for anything.
Murphy and Bailey are more than just pets; they’re cherished members of the Vandemark family. Their unique quirks and loving nature have brought them immeasurable joy and companionship. In return, they’ve found a family who will love them unconditionally forever.
