Rooted in Elgin: How Trenton’s Lawn Care Is Raising the Standard
At just 20 years old, Trent Casebeer is already building something many seasoned entrepreneurs aspire to — a trusted, high-end service company grounded in integrity, hustle, and heart.
A lifelong Elgin resident and 2024 graduate of Larkin High School, Trent started Trenton’s Lawn Care while still in high school. What began as a young man willing to knock on doors and prove himself has grown into a respected, year-round maintenance company serving homeowners and commercial properties throughout the area.
“Starting my business in high school, it was difficult to build a name and gain a reputation,” Trent shares. “People didn’t always trust a high school student with large jobs. But over time, I earned that trust. Clients saw that I was willing to work hard and do what I said I would do.”
Today, Trenton’s Lawn Care offers comprehensive services including weekly lawn maintenance, turf treatments, spring and fall cleanups, water feature installation, full-yard renovations, snow removal, and commercial property maintenance. The company is expanding into hardscaping this year and launching a dedicated crew to better serve local businesses.
But what truly sets Trent apart isn’t just the services — it’s the mindset. “We believe in more than a ‘mow and go,’” he explains. “We want to feel like family to our clients. We spend the extra time to make sure you have a yard you’re proud of.” Trent's commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed.
Beyond maintaining beautiful properties, Trent is passionate about building people. He loves leading his team and interacting with clients daily. His goal is simple but powerful: to better people’s lives — whether that’s through meaningful employment opportunities or creating outdoor spaces families can enjoy together.
As a small business owner, Trent intentionally keeps dollars local by partnering with other small businesses for supplies and mechanical work. “Being a small business owner is hard and tiring,” he says. “Any way we can help others, we will.”
With a love for fishing, the outdoors, and taking his dogs on adventures, Trent’s appreciation for the land shows in every project his team touches.
This Father’s Day, Trenton reflects on the example his dad set from an early age—one rooted in hard work, humility, and gratitude. No matter how long the day, his father never complained, always finding a way to provide and keep things moving at home. One lesson has stayed with him: “I get to go to work, I don’t have to go.” It’s a mindset Trenton carries into his business every day, on both the good days and the challenging ones. Though his parents didn’t come from a background of higher education, their dedication and work ethic created a strong foundation and a childhood he’s deeply grateful for. That influence continues to shape the way Trenton shows up—for his clients, his team, and his future.
