Bojiwassis
It's a feeling!
Bojiwassis is the creative playground of artist Danielle Reubenstein. In 2020, after years in the tech world, Danielle stepped away from screens and back into paint, paper, and the joy of making things by hand. The result was Bojiwassis—a name (long “o,” soft “a”) inspired by that feeling right before you leap… when you want to jump, you mean to jump, and you’re just the tiniest bit scared. Starting her art studio felt exactly like that.
Now in its fifth year, Danielle is still following her whims wherever they tug her. Her studio is nestled in The Workshops building in Glendale, just a short hop from her home in Denver’s Hilltop neighborhood, where she’s lived for 13 years. That closeness makes the creative process feel even more like an extension of her daily life. Inside, you’ll find a studio full of colorful curiosities: miniature watercolors tucked into multi-disciplinary shadow boxes, expressive acrylic and oil paintings, encaustics, and whatever new medium calls her name next. Her pieces range from landscapes and animals to still life paintings, character portraits, and work that lands somewhere between beautiful, strange, and wonderfully intriguing.
But visual art is just one corner of her creative universe. Danielle also participates in many artistic fields such as photo editing, graphic design, filmmaking, acting, and music—treating every discipline like another joyful leap into the unknown.
Danielle is always happy to arrange studio tours. She frequently invites collectors and curious visitors to her Hilltop home as well, where they can view and purchase any artwork that catches their eye. All art on the website is available for purchase and Danielle loves to work together on commissions if you see a style that you like.
