Tiny Neighbor, Big Personality: Welcome Isla Rose

The Old Northeast’s newest arrival is already winning hearts with her smile and her mighty spirit.

Old Northeast has a new little neighbor to celebrate, and her name is Isla Rose. Proud parents Tim and Cassie, along with big sister Vivian, welcomed Isla into their family on June 6, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. The family recently moved into the neighborhood this summer and already feels right at home. They say what they love most is how friendly everyone is and how the neighborhood truly feels like one big family.
Isla’s name was chosen with meaning and love. Her parents always wanted the name Isla, which means “island,” a fitting choice for a baby growing up near the water in St. Petersburg. At birth, Isla weighed 5 pounds 11 ounces and measured 17 inches long. She may have been tiny, but her family quickly discovered she came with a big personality to match.
From the very first days at home, Isla showed off her sense of humor. She loves making funny faces and has a special talent for making people giggle. Her parents describe her as small but mighty, with a bright smile that lights up a room. Even as a newborn, she made her presence known with charm and confidence.
Big sister Vivian has embraced her new role, and the two are already best friends most days. Their bond is strong, as long as Vivian is not trying to tell Isla what to do. Like many sibling relationships, it is filled with laughter, learning, and plenty of personality.
Isla has also been surrounded by meaningful family traditions. One especially touching keepsake came from her grandmother, who hand stitched a pillow using fabric from her own wedding dress. Isla was also baptized in the same dress her mother once wore, at the same church where her father was baptized. These connections across generations give her story an extra layer of warmth and history.
Though she is still new to the world, Isla Rose is already a little achiever in the Old Northeast. With a loving family, a welcoming neighborhood, and a talent for spreading smiles, she is off to a wonderful start.
