I am 9 years old and in 3rd grade. Math is one of my favorite things.  I am really good at it and love everything about it.  Right now I am learning about square roots and how to find them.  

Something unique about me is that I go to Alegria Montessori School. I really like my school because it is different from a lot of other schools.  I like how they allow me to do things at my level, like for me I can learn new math lessons when I am ready. In my reading group we read a book called, “Because of Winn Dixie” and it was pretty interesting because we got to watch the movie afterward reading the book and compare them.  I like my teachers, too.  They are pretty nice.

Something I like to do is help younger students. There are first and second graders in my class and sometimes I give them lessons.  I also sometimes help them with their work. 

My favorite field trip was the planetarium.  It was interesting because it was at St. Pete College.  We learned about a lot of things.  I can’t really choose what was most interesting but I really liked seeing the projections of what the actual constellations looked like. We did some work at school about this before the field trip. 

One of my favorite things from school that I shared was my personal timeline. This was something I made that had each year of my life, so there were about 7 pictures.  There was a space on each page to write a short paragraph.  For example, before I turned one I took my first steps.  I put this on the timeline and a picture of when I was baby. Then I shared it with my class.
