Meet Hudson

Twelve Years Old and Going Strong!

Twelve-year-old Hudson is living the life of luxury with his two pet parents, Jeff Riebesell and Charles Burger, here in the Old Historic Northeast. An extremely friendly, cream-colored Labradoodle, Hudson is the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere he goes. If you’ve met him, you remember him because he’s dog-gone adorable.
Why the name Hudson? “I grew up in Hudson County, New Jersey,” says Jeff. He has fond memories of the Hudson River which was a block away from where he went to high school in Weehawken, NJ.  When people told him to name my dog with something that was familiar, it was an easy decision. “Hudson was a great name,” says Jeff, and was relative to where I lived and went to school.
This fun-loving dog is as precious as can be. He loves to be outside, take leisurely strolls, and enjoys rides in their 2002 convertible – which originally belonged to Charles’ mother. “He’s great,” they share. Although Hudson is getting older and was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease in 2023, he has adapted well. “Our friends and neighbors help out,” says Charles. “We’ve got good friendships here in the neighborhood and friends are more than willing to help out with an elderly dog.”
If you see Hudson out and about, be sure to say hello! He is always eager to meet more friendly four-legged friends and their pet parents in the neighborhood.
