The team behind Nitro Carpet Outlet & Design Center — David and Kerri Call, and Jason and Sara Steorts — has deep roots in the Kanawha Valley. Raised in the Charleston and St. Albans areas, they later spent many years in Hurricane, where Jason and Sara still live today. Though David and Kerri now split time between Naples, Florida, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, their business — and hearts — remain grounded right here in West Virginia.

David and Kerri have two adult children: Allison, who lives in Charleston, SC, and Ryan, who calls Chicago home. Jason and Sara are proud parents to Chase, currently studying aviation at Marshall University, and Ty, who is headed to the University of Tennessee this fall to continue his running and academic journey. Their close-knit families inspire and guide the values of their business every day.

A Path Built on Experience and Passion
David’s background in banking took him south to Florida, but his WV connection never faded. Jason started in construction and now owns Steorts Home Design & Construction. Sara, a licensed Realtor, helps families discover and reimagine their dream homes. Together, their combined experience in business, real estate, design, and construction made the transition into the home design industry a natural one.

In June 2022, the team purchased the well-known Nitro Carpet Outlet in Cross Lanes with a vision to expand and transform it into a one-stop destination for home design. What was once primarily a flooring store is now a full-service design center featuring cabinetry, countertops, tile, appliances, and expert design support. Customers can walk in with a dream and walk out with a plan — all in one place.
