Proceeds from this event will go to a scholarship fund in honor of Cpl. William B. Fulks and supports this local Marine Corps League Detachment in its pursuit to serve veterans of our community.

On May 11, 2006, Cpl. Fulks, assigned to the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.  was wounded while conducting combat operations in Anbar Province, Iraq, by an IED that detonated beneath his Humvee. Unfortunately,  Cpl. Fulks succumbed to his wounds on May 18, 2006.
