Art Walk in I'On

Art in I’On exists to support Charleston Pro Bono’s mission: providing free civil legal aid to low-income families in Charleston County.

On April 25th, the homes of I’On will once again transform into art galleries for the third annual
Art in I’On, a neighborhood art and home tour benefiting Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services.
Designed as a relaxed, walkable afternoon event, Art in I’On invites guests to experience the
creativity and hospitality that make our city so special, while supporting a cause that strengthens
families across Charleston County.

Guests receive access to 8–10 private homes throughout the neighborhood. Inside each home,
3–5 artists set up curated exhibitions, turning living rooms, porches, and dining spaces into
temporary galleries for the day. All artwork is for sale, and participating artists generously
donate 20% of their proceeds to Charleston Pro Bono. In every kitchen, a local chef prepares
tasting bites and offers live demonstrations, adding a culinary element that makes each stop
interactive.

The result is a lively spring afternoon that’s all the best parts of an art walk, home tour, and
neighborhood gathering. It’s perfect for a girls’ day out, a one-of-a-kind date, or simply an
excuse to spend a beautiful afternoon discovering new artists and reconnecting with neighbors.
Art in I’On grew out of the success of Charleston Pro Bono’s longtime autumn fundraiser, Art on
the Beach, which has been hosted on Sullivan’s Island for the past 25 years. After seeing the
impact of that event, several volunteer attorneys and artists who live in I’On encouraged CPBLS
to bring a similar celebration here. With beautiful architecture and so many talented artists
calling this neighborhood home, I’On is a natural fit.

Art in I’On exists to support Charleston Pro Bono’s mission: providing free civil legal aid to
low-income families in Charleston County. While many people assume everyone has a right to
an attorney if they cannot afford one, that protection applies only in criminal cases. In civil
matters, such as custody, eviction defense, estate planning, or protection for survivors of abuse,
there is no guaranteed right to counsel. Charleston Pro Bono bridges that gap, ensuring families
can access the legal tools they need to protect their homes, children, safety, and stability.
By opening their doors, sharing their talents, and attending the tour, the I’On community turns
creativity into access to justice. Art in I’On is more than a fun day out filled with art and food;
it’s a reminder that when we come together, we can change lives. Thank you!
