Brandi & Yogi
The “Teddy Bears” of Quail Meadow Trace
Yogi
New to Ibis and already melting hearts, Brandi and Yogi are the adorable “teddy bear” duo bringing plenty of joy to their family and neighbors. After visiting friends in Ibis for over a decade, the Singman family finally made the move, first renting in the winter of 2025 and then purchasing their home in Quail Meadow Trace. Leslie and Don Singman have only been here a few months, but their furry companions have already made themselves right at home!
Meet Yogi
At 13 years young, Yogi is a sweet and sensitive Shichon—a mix of Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise—known for his quiet nature and irresistible all-white fluff. This breed is often called “teddy bear dogs,” which inspired his name after the beloved cartoon character, Yogi Bear. Adopted from a breeder in Washington, D.C., Yogi quickly became the little brother to two cats (and an expert at sneaking their food until it had to be moved out of reach!).

Though he’s slowed down a bit with age, Yogi still has his trademark talent: an impressive vertical jump, especially when bacon-flavored treats are involved. He’s happiest when someone rubs his paw—something he’ll politely request by offering it up to anyone willing to oblige. One of his family’s favorite memories is Yogi’s “Bark-Mitzvah,” complete with singing, props, and plenty of love from the whole crew.
Meet Brandi
Eight-year-old Brandi, also a Shichon and adopted from the same breeder as Yogi, brings plenty of sass and spunk to the household. Named by daughter Danielle after the brandy cocktail, Brandi has a larger-than-life personality and proudly claims the role of “boss” over her older brother. She’s a social butterfly who greets every guest with a stuffed toy in her mouth, hoping for a game of fetch.
When she’s not playing hostess, Brandi loves chasing ice cubes, patiently waiting by the fridge until someone hands her one. Her smarts and spirited communication (a language of barks and whines that her family has learned to understand perfectly) make her endlessly entertaining.
Life in Ibis
Both pups enjoy visiting the Ibis dog park when the weather allows, and on neighborhood walks you might spot them mingling with their favorite furry friends—Yogi with Josie (Amy Ruben’s dog) and Brandi making new playmates in Quail Meadow. While neither pup is overly adventurous, they never turn down a car ride—destination irrelevant!
Whether quietly soaking up affection or bringing a stuffed toy to every new friend, Yogi and Brandi are two little “teddy bears” making their family’s transition to Ibis even sweeter. Keep an eye out for them on your next stroll—you’ll know them by their wagging tails and big, bright eyes.
