Ibis Tennis Team Serves Up Smiles with Mexican Night at Quantum House

The Ibis Division 1 Tennis Team set aside their racquets and brought out sombreros and maracas to host a Mexican night at the Quantum House in West Palm Beach. This marks the fourth year that the team has volunteered as part of the “Chef for a Day” program, where participants cook a special meal for children and their families in residence receiving treatment for serious medical conditions in Palm Beach County.

This year, the team created a Mexican Taco Bar experience with tremendous support from the Ibis Catering department, treating the families to a delicious meal along with Mexican music and party favors. The kids LOVED IT!

This is the fourth consecutive year the team has “served” a themed meal for up to 30 families staying at the Quantum House. Previous years included an Italian night and breakfast for dinner with everyone wearing pajamas, and featuring a fan favorite, Mickey Mouse pancakes!

Quantum House alleviates the stress and financial hardship that often accompanies the trauma of illness and injury. Guests staying at the Quantum House pay a nominal fee to help with operating costs, but no one is turned away due to inability to pay.  As an independent 501 (c)(3), Quantum House relies solely on the generosity of the community.

Quantum House is designed to provide the comforts of home with 30 family suites, a kitchen, and spacious dining areas for shared meals and connections with amazing volunteers and other families.

You, too, can volunteer at Quantum House.  From Chef for a Day (lunch or dinner) to arts and crafts with the children, you will be helping these families, and the satisfaction is beyond words.  Please visit the Quantum House website at www.quantumhouse.org if you wish to learn more about how they assist families from all over the world.  The team is already thinking about next year's theme………..
