A New Era of Care Begins at Avenir

Residents of Ibis and the surrounding western Palm Beach County communities are one step closer to expanded, high-quality health care right in their backyard. In late June, Jupiter Medical Center officially broke ground on its second hospital, an important milestone that signals both growth and a deeper commitment to meeting the needs of a rapidly expanding region.

The new campus, known as the Jupiter Medical Center Neighborhood Hospital at The Health Park at Avenir, is thoughtfully designed to bring emergency and specialty care closer to home. As development continues westward, access to timely, advanced medical services has become increasingly important for families living and working in communities like Ibis, Avenir, and beyond.

When completed, the 53,000-square-foot hospital will feature 29 inpatient beds, four operating rooms, 24-hour emergency services, and a full diagnostic laboratory and imaging capabilities. Adjacent to the hospital, a three-story, 47,000-square-foot medical office building will be dedicated to Jupiter Medical Center physicians. The building will house a wide range of physician specialties, including primary care, cardiology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, and general surgery. Two additional medical office buildings will be constructed at a later date, with space now available for lease. Together, these facilities will create a comprehensive health destination designed for convenience, continuity, and quality.

The campus is expected to open in early 2028, offering residents a new level of access to care without the need to travel farther east.

“This a proud and historic moment for Jupiter Medical Center and for the communities we serve,” said Dr. Amit Rastogi, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center, the region’s only independent, not-for-profit hospital. “This new campus represents a defining step in our mission to expand access to the highest-quality care across our region.”

He emphasized that the project is not just about adding capacity; it’s about enhancing the entire care experience. “As western Palm Beach County continues to grow, this campus will bring advanced emergency, surgical, and specialty care closer to home for patients and families, while strengthening the seamless continuum of care that defines Jupiter Medical Center.”

Situated at the corner of Northlake Boulevard and Landstar Drive within a master-planned community approved for 3,650 homes, The Health Park is positioned to serve one of the fastest-growing areas in Palm Beach County.

The project is being developed in collaboration with Sina Companies, a Palm Beach Gardens-based development firm focused on thoughtfully planned medical destinations. “This project reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of Avenir and surrounding communities,” said Malcolm Sina, Executive Chairman. “It is also especially meaningful as we are building facilities that will care for our friends and neighbors. We are proud to have found a partner in Jupiter Medical Center to bring accessible, high-quality care closer to families in this expanding area.”

For Ibis residents, the impact is both immediate and long-term. From quicker emergency response times to expanded specialty care options nearby, the Avenir campus represents a significant investment in the health and well-being of the community.
