Where History Meets Hospitality: Fingerboard Farm

Located just off Fingerboard Road is a historic Ijamsville landmark that has been standing since 1789—Fingerboard Farm. This agritourism destination is a 25-acre property on which guests can book overnight lodgings for up to 14 guests, staying in the updated historic Inn itself and enjoying its scenic surroundings. The farm also has a special focus on the regenerative farming practices of organic hemp and vegetables, and is home to chickens, goats, mini donkeys, and even a peacock.
For those with a special day coming up, Fingerboard Farm is host to many events and offers weekend wedding packages that accommodate up to 100 guests—and it’s the only farm to host private parties and offer guest stays in the area! Beautifully maintained gardens and potted plants surround a large outdoor patio and huge firepit that offers fun all year-round. An infrared sauna is also an attraction in the winter for the health and wellness benefits, ensuring that the season doesn’t have to get in the way of a good time.
“People from around the world visit our farm for business retreats, golf enthusiasts use the space to host groups who play at all of the local courses,” shares owner Dawn Gordon. “The farm is a marvelous example of a working farm to enjoy and unwind for family or friends visiting from out of the area instead of staying in a hotel.”
As longtime Frederick residents, Dawn and her family are proud to be able to share the historic value of their farm with the community, and are thrilled to be leaders in the health and wellness industry here in Maryland. In addition to operating as a unique getaway destination, Fingerboard Farm produces a wide variety of CBD products manufactured from the hemp and grown on premises. These can be purchased on the farm website at www.fingerboardfarm.market, and special offers and deals can be kept up with on social media.
