Goose & Raven: An Illahe Love Story

Some love stories begin with a chance meeting. Others begin with a game of chase across neighboring yards.

For Goose and Raven, it seems to have been a little bit of both.

Goldendoodle Goose, owned by Scott and Carol Hadsall, and Raven the poised husky, owned by Warren and Linda Bednardz, have become one of El Dorado Court’s most beloved neighborhood pairs. Goose arrived as a puppy, while Raven was already a bit older, but the two quickly formed a special bond that has only grown stronger over the years.

These days, they’re rarely far apart. Neighbors often spot them eagerly greeting one another before taking off on their favorite adventures—running, chasing, playing, and making full use of the open space between their homes. Without a fence separating them, Goose and Raven have created their own shared territory, happily traveling back and forth as if both yards belong to them.

Like any good couple, they each bring something different to the relationship. Goose, who turned three in April, is the dedicated fetch enthusiast, always ready for a ball. Raven prefers carrying toys and joining the fun on her own terms. After burning off their energy, the pair can often be found relaxing side-by-side, enjoying a well-earned cuddle.

While no one knows exactly when friendship turned into romance, their families have enjoyed watching the relationship blossom. One thing is certain: whether they’re sprinting across the neighborhood or patiently waiting to see each other again, Goose and Raven prove that true love sometimes lives just next door.
