For Come Back Pools owner Laurie Jones Peacher, business is about far more than beautiful backyards — it’s about healing, resilience, and helping families rediscover spaces where memories are made. A lifelong College Station resident, Laurie grew up alongside her brother, Charlie, under the guidance of her parents, Tony and Sandy Jones. Her father was deeply involved in the community as a home builder, city councilman, and county commissioner. Laurie graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1990 and later earned her degree from Texas A&M University in 1995. After graduation, she moved to Tallahassee, where she worked at the Florida Department of Education as Director of the child development center at the state capitol. She returned home in 2003 and later taught running and weight training courses in the Kinesiology department at Blinn College before choosing to stay home to raise her four children: Shepherd (24), Anthony (18), Charlie (16), and Payton (14).

Come Back Pools was born out of unimaginable loss and extraordinary strength. Following the tragic death of her husband, Laurie was left as a single mother of four children with no income and only one pool cleaner to manage a full week of scheduled services. During that overwhelming time, supportive customers encouraged Laurie to shift her focus toward pool remodeling. What began as a survival step soon became a passion. Drawing inspiration from her family’s journey through grief and healing, Laurie built a business centered on helping families create backyard spaces they love again — a true “comeback” story that inspired the company’s meaningful name.

Come Back Pools specializes in full swimming pool renovations, including plaster, tile, coping, equipment upgrades, decking, hot tubs, sunshelves, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, rock slide features, tile media blasting, and spray or cool deck surfaces. The company also offers landscaping services, allowing clients to fully transform their outdoor living spaces. Laurie stands out in a traditionally male-dominated industry by offering a highly personalized and hands-on approach. Rather than requiring customers to visit a showroom, she brings material samples directly to each client’s home, helping them visualize selections within their actual backyard environment. Her commitment to detail and customer connection has led to not only stunning transformations but lasting friendships with many clients.
