Sweet Dreams, Big Savings
For Todd and Darla Keller, and their daughter Bristol, BoxDrop B/CS Mattress and Furniture is more than a family business—it’s a way to serve their community, help families save and build a legacy together.

For Todd and Darla Keller, family, faith and service have always been at the heart of their lives. After 40 years of marriage and 38 years serving together in ministry, the Kellers have built a family legacy that now includes their business, BoxDrop B/CS Mattress and Furniture.
The family has called the Brazos Valley home since 2013, when Todd was called to serve as a pastor in the area. With two of their four children already attending Texas A&M University, they were excited to put down roots. Eventually, three of their children became Aggies, giving the family plenty of opportunities to proudly say, “WHOOP!”
Their journey into the mattress and furniture business began in 2017 when the family needed a new mattress for a barn apartment they had built. Darla’s search led her to BoxDrop B/CS Mattress, where she began working part-time, answering messages and scheduling appointments. By late 2018, she was managing the store and had fallen in love with the concept of helping customers save money on quality mattresses.
The Kellers purchased the business on Jan. 1, 2020, with the goal of creating a family legacy. Their daughter, Bristol Stephens, quickly became part of the plan. When the family asked their four children who wanted to help build the business, Bristol gave notice at her job and joined her parents. She has been with BoxDrop ever since and plans to take over the business when Darla retires.
Today, BoxDrop B/CS offers brand-new, high-quality mattresses and furniture for bedrooms, dining rooms and living spaces. The Kellers purchase products from major manufacturers by the truckload, allowing them to offer prices significantly below traditional retail. Customers can often save 40–70% and typically have the option to take purchases home the same day or arrange for quick delivery.
For Darla, finding a great deal has always been part of life. As a pastor’s wife and stay-at-home mom raising four children, she learned how to manage a tight family budget without sacrificing quality. Her children affectionately nicknamed her the “clearance queen.”
That same philosophy continues to guide the business.
“I always looked for good sales so we did not have to sacrifice quality but could still save money,” Darla says. “It is still important to me that good quality shouldn’t have to come with a heavy price tag.”
Just as important as the savings is the customer experience. The Kellers strive to make every person who walks through their doors feel respected, heard and valued, regardless of their background or budget.
“As a family-operated business, we always want our customers to feel like family, too,” Darla says.
Giving back to the community is another important part of the BoxDrop mission. The Kellers have donated to and helped with fundraising for Still Creek Ranch, BCS Together and Sleep in Heavenly Peace. They also enjoy employing Texas A&M students, some of whom have developed their own entrepreneurial delivery services in partnership with BoxDrop.
The business has weathered challenges along the way, including purchasing the company just before COVID-19 shutdowns. Because BoxDrop operated primarily by appointment at the time, they were able to remain open and continue serving customers. More recently, they navigated a difficult local economy that caused some small businesses to close.
Through faith, hard work and a commitment to serving others, BoxDrop B/CS came through stronger.
Now, the Kellers are looking forward to an exciting fall, with new mattress options and trending furniture styles arriving soon. They’re also planning special events around Aggie football season and the holidays.
Above all, the Kellers are grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Brazos Valley community. Their showroom even features a “Shop Small” board where local businesses can display their cards, allowing the Kellers to recommend fellow entrepreneurs to customers.
For this family, business is about much more than mattresses and furniture. It’s about relationships, community and helping people create comfortable spaces they’re proud to call home.
