Anna - the Giant Schnauzer
The Queen of the house!
Precious Pet Spotlight: Anna
Hi, my name is Anna, and I am a black Giant Schnauzer, proudly holding the title of Queen of the House. I was born in Dallas, Texas, and I’m now 10 years old. When I was just six weeks old, my mom, Kim, drove all the way to Dallas to pick me up. She was faced with the choice of taking me or my sister, Elsa, home—but lucky for us, she decided we were both coming! So Elsa and I hopped in the car and took a road trip up I-35 to our forever homes in beautiful Iron Horse Ranch. Elsa lives happily at Nana’s house, and I rule the roost here with Mom and Dad (Arco).
Let me tell you, I have them fully trained. They know I’m in charge, and they’ve accepted it. I especially love when the grandbabies come over—mostly because I can “borrow” their toys and claim my spot under the highchair. That’s where all the best snacks fall, and I am very efficient at cleanup!
Now, Mom and Dad were kind enough to buy me a big, comfy dog bed. They even place a little treat on the pillow for me each night. Sweet, right? But let’s be real—I just grab my snack and hop right up on the human bed, where I belong. I mean, who wouldn’t want to snuggle all 80 pounds of me?
One of my greatest joys is going on walks. When the weather is cool, I love an afternoon stroll. When the summer sun gets too hot, Mom takes me out early in the morning. But between you and me, in the afternoons I like to “forget” we already went, just to remind them that it’s walk time again. So far, they haven’t caught on. And yes, I know how to spell W-A-L-K. They thought they could trick me with that one—no chance.
My walks are also my time to catch up with friends. I stop along the fences by the ponds to chat with my furry neighbors and, of course, I love greeting my two-legged friends at the playground. They usually ask if I’m Anna or Elsa, like that movie “Frozen.” I don’t mind—I adore kids and the extra attention is just part of being me.
At the end of the day, my role is clear: love, protect, comfort, and keep everyone laughing. It’s not an easy job, but trust me, I’m rocking it. High rizz, no cap!
