More Than a Magazine: Reflecting on Five Years in Iron Horse Ranch

Five years ago, the very first issue of Stroll Iron Horse Ranch arrived in mailboxes. At the time, I thought I was starting a neighborhood magazine. What I didn’t realize was that I was stepping into something so much bigger.

Over the last five years, I’ve had the privilege of sitting across kitchen tables, walking through beautiful newer homes, meeting families, hearing stories, celebrating milestones, and watching neighbors become friends.

I’ve learned something important. Strong communities don’t happen by accident. They’re built through conversations. Through showing up. Through knowing the people and stories behind the doors we pass every day.

Iron Horse Ranch is a set of six beautiful and growing neighborhoods in beautiful historic Edmond. But what makes this area so special has always been the people. Thank you to every resident who has trusted me with your story, and every local business partner who believes relationships still matter. Five years later, I’m more convinced than ever that connection will always be one of the best investments we can make.

Here’s to sharing stories, supporting local businesses, and continuing to celebrate the place we call home.

Our next Iron Horse Ranch Coffee meeting:

Please mark your calendars: on the last Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m., this month it will be August 29th, we will host a casual meeting at the new Starbucks off Waterloo (located at 14770 Boucher Dr, Edmond, OK 73034, just west of
 I-35).

The purpose of these monthly meetings is to gather your feedback on Stroll Iron Horse Ranch and discuss what you would like to see added or removed. It is also a great opportunity to brainstorm ideas for upcoming articles and to sign up to have your family, child, pet, or event featured in the publication - but there is no obligation to do this!

Let's meet up, grab some coffee, and work together to make our community publication better than ever!
