Savannah Family Eye Care
Faith, Family, and Focus
When Dr. Caroline Freeman moved from Texas to Savannah almost ten years ago, she knew this was where she wanted to put down roots. After earning her optometry degree from the University of Houston, she and her husband, John, made Savannah their home in 2016. Today, they’re raising their two children, Hattie and Tate, surrounded by the people and pace of life they love most.
Dr. Freeman opened Savannah Family Eye Care with one goal in mind — to create a welcoming space where patients of all ages feel cared for. The practice offers comprehensive eye exams and a handpicked selection of frames from other family-owned companies, bringing quality, comfort, and style to every budget.
Her work reaches far beyond routine care. The practice sees everyone from school-aged children and local veterans to participants in FDA clinical trials. Dr. Freeman and her team also donate time and resources to families in need, ensuring cost never stands in the way of clear vision. “We believe vision is essential to success, and we’re blessed to share God’s love through the gift of sight,” she says.
Beginning Jan. 1, Dr. Freeman will expand her reach even further as a co-owner of Island Eye Care on Wilmington Island, allowing her to serve more families across the Savannah area.
Savannah Family Eye Care also makes exams more comfortable with advanced retinal imaging and pressure testing that avoids the traditional drops and air puff. For Dr. Freeman, it all comes back to faith, family, and helping others see the world a little more clearly — one patient at a time.
