New American Funding

Helping others has always been at the heart of Jarad Brown’s career. A Savannah native and Georgia Southern University graduate, Jarad first served his community as a firefighter with Southside Fire. That spirit of service later found a new outlet in the mortgage industry, where he now works as a senior loan officer at New American Funding.
Jarad’s mission is simple: “People first.” For him, that means every client is treated like a neighbor, not a number. With a full range of mortgage lending products, he works closely with individuals and families to find the right path to homeownership, tailoring each experience to fit their unique financial goals.
Born and raised in Savannah, Jarad is now raising his two children—Miles and Anabelle, affectionately known as Lulu—both students at St. James Catholic School. His deep roots in the area shape the way he does business. He’s a proud supporter of local institutions like the Isle of Hope pool, Jenkins Athletic Club, and athletic programs at both St. James and Benedictine, as well as a committed fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
While the mortgage landscape continues to evolve—especially in the wake of the COVID-19 shift to digital lending—Jarad remains committed to making the process smooth, personal, and accessible. He sees technology as a tool to break down financial barriers, not replace human connection.
His advice to those considering a home purchase? “Don’t wait. Savannah’s housing market is growing fast. Buy now, and refinance later if rates drop.” It’s this mix of hometown loyalty, forward-thinking solutions, and heart-led service that makes Jarad Brown a standout in the world of lending.
