Dancing Down the Bluff

Down the bluff I dance,
Feeling wildly alive—
Sure, you can walk, bike, or drive,
But dancing is the truest way
To greet another beautiful day.

Wind rushes through my
Loosened hair,
I circle and spin without
A care.
My friend and I twirl
Around and around
As strangers pass by,
Amused and spellbound.

Let them stare—I don’t mind.
The breeze is kind and the
Sun aligned.
The drivers laugh, lean out
And wave,
Tip their hats as to say “You’re
So brave.”

Bluff Drive becomes my therapy,
A drifting path to feeling free.
Flowers line the road to pick—
A simple joy like a magic trick.

So try it yourself—spin,
Wiggle and hop.
Whatever you do, keep on
Dancing and never stop.
