David DeWitt Makes Health Insurance Make Sense

Isle of Hope resident David DeWitt has called Savannah home for all of his 56 years. For the past 17, he and his family have lived in their first—and only—house on the island, building roots in a community he knows and loves.

As the founder of Health Insurance Savannah, David brings 26 years of experience to an industry many find overwhelming. His specialty? Helping clients understand the often-confusing worlds of Medicare, Marketplace plans, and health insurance options. “I make insurance personal, not complicated,” he says.

David didn’t start in health insurance. His career began in financial planning, a field that required constant prospecting. Over time, he transitioned to health and Medicare services—areas where he says the need is ongoing and clients tend to find him. That shift shaped his business philosophy: a calm, one-on-one approach rooted in service, not sales.

There are no big expansion plans or a high-pressure office environment. Instead, David works directly with individuals, building trust through conversation. His office may be virtual, but his relationships are personal.
For Isle of Hope residents navigating healthcare choices, David offers simple advice: “It doesn’t have to be complicated. There’s no cost to ask for help. Why not travel the road with someone who knows the way?”
Whether it’s Medicare enrollment or Marketplace coverage, David’s goal is to remove the guesswork from getting insured—one neighbor at a time.
