A Look Back

Britt's Funky Stitch at the 2025 Isle of Hope Art & Music Festival

After being featured in our Meet the Artist profile back in the March 2025 issue of Stroll Isle of Hope, Brittany Milward returned to the spotlight this fall as a vendor at the Isle of Hope Art & Music Festival—for the third year in a row.

Known for her hand-embroidered linens, custom apparel, and charm-studded gemstone necklaces, Brittany brought her signature flair to her colorful booth once again. “The IOH Art & Music Festival is truly a one-of-a-kind event,” she said. “It was an incredible day filled with some of the most talented artists and makers in the area. I’m so honored to have been chosen as a vendor for the third year in a row! The crowds were even bigger this year, and you see everyone you know mingling and shopping.”

Brittany’s creative journey began in 2020 as a lockdown hobby, inspired by her grandmother’s quilts. What started as an Instagram account quickly blossomed into a full-fledged brand: Britt’s Funky Stitch. Today, her custom embroidery and jewelry are treasured for marking life’s meaningful milestones—whether it’s a newborn’s swaddle, a bride’s robe, or a necklace filled with charms that reflect someone’s personality.

You can shop her work online at brittsfunkystitch.com or find her necklaces locally at Emily McCarthy Shoppe and Brown Dog Market.
