Taste Emerald Coast: Top Global Cuisine on the Emerald Coast

Afternoon Tea display

We continue our journey to unveil the Top Global Cuisine our area has to offer.

Renaissance
Just off 30A, Renaissance is more than a restaurant; it’s a journey for owners Mel and Natasha. Originally from Paris, they met in Nashville five years ago, and their love story took a significant turn during a trip to 30A in 2020. They camped at Topsail State Park and fell in love with the area. When they decided to open a French restaurant, finding a location just down the street from that spot felt like fate. The name "Renaissance," meaning rebirth in French, reflects their fresh start and pays homage to a remarkable era in French history. Since opening in April 2024, Renaissance has wowed diners with standout dishes. Their French onion soup is a recipe passed down from Chef Mel's grandfather. The restaurant features a 100% French wine list and offers a true French experience with classics like crème brûlée and Kir Royal-Champagne & Blackcurrant. Chef Mel proudly serves authentic family recipes, bringing French flavors to the Emerald Coast. Merci, Chef!

The Olde English Creamery
The Olde English Creamery is a charming tea room situated in a historic 1870 cottage in Pensacola. Since 2019, it has been providing a slice of England to the local area. Their signature tea is the  Buckingham Palace blend but also feature whimsical themed options such as Vienna Eggnog and the Harry Potter-inspired Wizard Blend. The tearoom also hosts themed events that celebrate beloved stories and characters from Downton Abbey and Taylor Swiftea to princesses, fairies, and Bridgerton Regency Tea. The Afternoon Tea experience features crustless sandwiches, sage and lemon sausage rolls, freshly baked scones with homemade clotted cream and preserves, and a variety of sweet treats. Each tea service includes an endless pot of the finest blends. Gather your friends, don your favorite hat, reserve your tea time and enjoy an experience that continues to bring together guests across generations.

It's fantastic that we can embark on a global culinary journey without straying too far from home. We can savor the flavors of Turkey at Bosforo, explore Asian cuisine at Domo Izakaya, enjoy the tastes of France at Renaissance, and indulge in the British tea house offerings at The Olde English Creamery. Stay tuned for more dining adventures in our upcoming articles!
