The Big Easy Is Coming Back to Kingwood!
(this photo can be placed small next to the title/heading)
Once again Kingwood Women's Club will be bringing the excitement of New Orleans to their Mardi Gras Ball planned for February 22, 2025. Celebrating their 4th year, the fun will focus on historic 'watering holes' in New Orleans.
Many fabled bars can be found in New Orleans but some stand out more than others. Celebrated for centuries is Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop where legend tells that pirate Jean Lafitte used this establishment to hide his smuggled treasure in the 1700's. The famous Carousel Bar located in the Hotel Monteleon delightfully spins customers in circles while they sip. Over a century old, the 25 seat carousel is always a 'must' stop when you visit the French Quarter.
The Sazerac Bar is home to the New Orleans Sazerac Cocktail but is also beautifully decorated in art deco. Stepped in history, The Bar is known for the famous 'Storming of the Sazerac' for Women's Rights back in the 40's. A final stop at Pat O'Brien's for a signature 'Hurricane' or 'Monsoon' will definitely have you ordering another round.
Cocktails, music, dinner and dancing will fill the evening with opportunities to spend money on fabulous Silent Auction and Raffle packages.
Kingwood Country Club will be the setting with doors opening at 6:00p.m. Tickets will be $125.00 each and will go on sale beginning December 15, 2024 and may purchased on-line.
